How your benefits get checked, what Virginia Medicaid means here, and what happens when you do not have a plan.
Before you book
Most unpleasant surprises in dentistry are billing surprises, and they come from assuming what a plan covers instead of checking. Here is the order we work in, and why each part is there.
We take the plan details straight off it. You do not need an appointment to make the call, and asking commits you to nothing.
The card names your insurer. It does not say what your particular plan pays for, because employers buy different versions of the same product, so we confirm your benefits with the plan directly.
Coverage only means something once there is something to apply it to. The exam and the X-rays are what turn a general benefit into what your own treatment would come to.
What we recommend, what your plan is expected to cover, and what would be left for you. Written down. Nothing is scheduled until you have seen it.

Next step
Call the office Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM with your card in front of you. We check your benefits with your plan and tell you where you stand before you commit to an appointment. There is no online booking on this site — if it is easier, send the contact form and we will call you back.
